Umayyad conquest of Hispania: Battle of Guadalete – Umayyad forces under Tariq ibn Ziyad defeat the Visigoths led by King Roderic. (19. July 711)

Arab–Byzantine wars: Maslamah ibn Abd al-Malik begins the Second Arab Siege of Constantinople, which will last for nearly a year. (15. August 717)

Arab–Byzantine wars: Raising of the Second Arab Siege of Constantinople. (15. August 718)

Ragenfrid defeats Theudoald at the Battle of Compiègne. (26. September 715)

Battle of Tours: Near Poitiers, France, the leader of the Franks, Charles Martel and his men, defeat a large army of Moors, stopping the Muslims from spreading into Western Europe. The governor of Cordoba, Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi, is killed during the battle. (10. October 732)
